Today is a bad day for anxiety.On thursday I have a big event which will be difficult and I’m feeling worried. Just thought of going out and buying snus. Very difficult.

antoniaMedlemawww thanks messi, maybe i should try and stop the the plasters…. was close to buying some snus this evening. Have problems with neck and back and when i stopped the snus just got worse but I’m hanging in there.what happened to those smilies?
antoniaMedlemIt is now 3wks for me without the snus….yes it’s easier than first few days,but there are times when i think I need that stuff in my mouth. I use nikoplasters but ther is that feeling of wanting to put something in the mouth. It’s tough….100days for you messi …very good.It’s times of stress that the craving for snus becomes difficult.

Hjälp #83703antoniaMedlemMy 5th day today snusfri. this morning was difficult felt craving for snus under the lip. I think of how bad I felt using snus ….in the mouth from 9am-12 midnight non stop…dangerous. This motivates me. Taking deep breathes helps. I want to feel well.

Hjälp #83694antoniaMedlemI feel the biggest motivation for me is that I get my energy back…..energy for the smallest things just to keep on living. I started again after 1 1/2 yrs snus free. Was snusing over 20yrs yrs before that. Now I have been snusfri for 3days and already I feel more energy and less stressed out because I can breathe more deeply instead of shallow breathing which causes more stress. It is difficult at first…maybe mood swings but in the long run there are enormous health benefits and stopping the addiction helps us move forward in life even if the changes are hard.. You CAN get thru it. Don’t have any negative feelings about yourself. Motivation to quit addiction for me is feeling better long term rather than a quick fix which leaves me drained of energy. Don’t give up.
antoniaMedlemI enjoyed reading your input messi,I can see much of myself there, made me laugh. I am on my second time to stop after being snusfri for 1 1/2 yrs. It is 3 days now without snus + nikotin plaster. One good thing I notice already is having more energy. This motivates me not to go out and buy another snus dosa. Yes, the worst time is in the morning and late evening and as you say esp. after eating. Keep on moving.
