I had exactly the same the first 2dys without snus. went out and bought something sweet to eat, also bread. Was very hungry. So I decided to use nicotine plaster. Now 11 days and don’t have that problem now. Also waking up in the night and not feeling tired. After 11days woke up at 4am and could not sleep again. However i felt I had slept more deeply than I have in years.
antoniaMedlemYes, I hope too that sleep will back to normal when, asyou say 100% off the nico.
Have had some mood issues. Instead of suppressing feelings with snus I was able to let go thru crying, something that is hard for me to do. Now I see why. Feeling very low at the moment. Using 14mg nicotell and acupuncture. Don’t have probs with nicotine craving. Had a headache for 2dys but gone now. Just feeling hyper sensitive and almost paranoid at times. Thinking and analysing too much.
antoniaMedlemok tack.!Yeah, quite a long time 3-4 wks.
antoniaMedlemLalle,
thanks, Did’nt know there was a program lol. I can’t get to bed bed before 2am,so I still have sleep probs. I had a headache for 2 days, thought it was withdrawal but not sure could be 14mg plaster was too much. It’s the strange mood swings that bother me. After 20 yrs of snus every day without a break, continuously in the mouth. Where do I find the program?
Ant:
Thanks
antoniaMedlemNow 9days without snus. using plaster 14mg.Cut this this to 7mg today but craving for tobac hits me sometimes. Feel anxiety and down. How long does it take to be without these symptoms.? 5 wks??
antoniaMedlemThat’s interesting with this problem in relationships and addictions. For me I saw a dependency problem in a relationship and dependency on some kind of addictive substance. When I stopped taking the addictive substance with help of support group I became more self confident after a time and didn’t feel the same any longer about the person I was living with.
The feeling of being introverted, anxiety and negative feelings about myself came back when I stopped the snus after 6days or so. I felt I was suppressing anxieties with the use of some addictive substance ,also food. It seems to give us a false sense of security. I think that giving up addictions helps us to move on in life and be free to find ourselves and it does not require being in a relationship. This is my experience. I work in a creative field so this helps me and i believe we all have the capacity to be creative.
antoniaMedlemOn my 8th day and woke up last night with headache and still have it.Don’t usually get headaches.I think it must be withdrawal symptom. Has anyone else had this.?
antoniaMedlemHey, thanks for sharing and having a joke. Important to laugh at oneself,I do it a lot it makes me feel better.haha. (cannot get the smilie things to work)
I stopped several years ago for 3mths but something happened and back on the snus trail. Have made a few attempts since then but didn’t make it. Must stick it thru this time. Have done considerable research on healthcare in the last year after having serious digestive problems. Got help with that from USA.(on a website)
The immune system was weakened so I took probiotics (broad spectrum and antifungal oil (natural) no pharma drugs. This helped a lot but there was still something couldn’t deal with. Then discovered that NIKOTIN causes immune dysfunction. Those digestive problems stem from basically not having enough good bacteria in the digestive tract to protect against disease causing organisms. Not only nicotine,a drug, but pharma drugs also, especially antibiotics, weaken the immune system. I have had a large chunk of all of that over my lifetime. No more.
antoniaMedlemcouldn’t get the smilie thing to work.haha
antoniaMedlemThanks to Lalle for sharing.!! :- )
